What a beautiful day, thanks to Isabelle, Stéphane and Saty.
After the water source in Maroeuil, the waterfall sadly under renovation, through Mont-Saint-Eloi to Vimy. Between 9 and 12 April 1917, 23,500 people died at Vimy in the battle between the Canadians (assisted by the British) and Germany. Today a beautiful, peaceful place that brings to mind what life was like in the trenches, which are still no further away than Ukraine to this day. Hard to believe this is still possible, but it is.
Greetings from Vimy.
