Chain problem half solved. Local motorbike garage closed due to holidays. The neighbour, a car mechanic, was kind enough to provide all his tools. Chain tightened, but after only 10 kilometres it wasn't as tight. This means a new chain, but is a worry for later.

The good news is a nice tour and tasting at The Lakes Distillery. Creative whisky makers, not bound by Scottish traditions and thus a distinct identity in flavour. Worth a visit.

Problème de chaîne à moitié résolu. Le garage moto local était fermé pour raison de vacances. Le voisin, un mécanicien de voiture, a eu la gentillesse de mettre à disposition tous ses outils. La chaîne s'est tendue pendant un certain temps, mais elle s'est vite relâchée. Cela signifie une nouvelle chaîne après le voyage.

La bonne nouvelle, c'est une belle visite et une dégustation à la distillerie The Lakes. Un fabricant de whisky créatif, qui n'est pas lié par les traditions écossaises et qui a donc une identité distincte en termes de goût. Une visite vaut le détour.

Kettingprobleem half oplost. Lokale motorgarage gesloten omwille van de vakantie. De buur, een automechanieker, was zo vriendelijk om al z'n gereedschap ter beschikking te stellen. Ketting gespannen, maar na 10 kilometer al niet meer zo strak. Dit betekent een nieuwe ketting, maar is een zorg voor later.

Het goede nieuws is een mooie rondleiding en proeverij in The Lakes Distillery. Creatieve whiskymakers, niet gebonden aan de Schotse tradities en daarmee een duidelijke eigen identiteit in smaak. Het bezoeken waard.
