Route via the "Westhoek" - Flanders Fields - to Dunkirk, France's 3rd largest port after Marseille and Le Havre. The city, which on 25 June 1658 was Spanish in the morning, French in the afternoon and English in the evening, would later - during World War II - be largely bombed flat. Similar to what happened to Rotterdam in World War II, it also reminds me of that city, where history meets modern architecture.
Here, people speak the same French as I do, with a Belgian-Flemish accent. ;-)
